The paragliding take-off at Lovćen is located above Njeguši, in the Lovćen National Park, at an altitude of 1380 meters, and is certainly one of the most beautiful panoramic paragliding take-off points in Europe, offering views of the Bay of Kotor, the old town of Kotor, the San Giovanni walls, and the surrounding area of Boka. The take-off area is long and grassy, allowing several paragliders to take off at the same time. If you are in Kotor, you can reach the take-off point by driving the old royal road Kotor-Cetinje. The road is paved but narrow, with many endless curves, so we recommend driving very carefully. What will surely captivate you is the view and the nature you'll pass through. When you reach Njeguši, you enter the ramp of the national park and drive for about 5 kilometers until you reach the viewpoint, where you can park your car. From there, continue on foot up the hill to the take-off point, which takes around 15 minutes on foot. Caution – Due to the terrain configuration, this take-off is not recommended on windy days. Turbulence and rotor-venture effects are very common. The suitable wind direction for take-off is south (S), southwest (SW). Due to the proximity of the airport and its controlled airspace, it is mandatory to notify Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) in advance of any paragliding activities and to strictly adhere to all aviation safety regulations. This procedure is essential to ensure the safety of all airspace users and to prevent any unforeseen situations. Please note that flying in the direction of Budva is strictly prohibited due to airspace restrictions. Violating this rule may lead to serious consequences, so we kindly ask you to comply with all designated flight routes and regulations. If you plan to land at the Bokelj Football Club stadium in Kotor, you must contact the club’s management in advance to obtain official permission. This step ensures coordination with the club’s schedule and provides safe conditions for landing. Your safety and compliance with regulations are our top priority.
